In January 2023, the doors to County Durham’s newest luxury self catering accommodation officially opened. Blackton Grange is a luxury retreat that offers all of the mod cons such as private hot tub, cocktail lounge, games room, cinema room and so much more. With space for up to 18 guests, Blackton Grange is an elegant & unique celebration house where you can immerse yourself in the stunning scenery and create your own special memories while celebrating life’s biggest milestones.

Inspired with relaxation and luxury in mind, Blackton Grange is a luxury retreat that has been lovingly renovated to make your visit a unique, comfortable, and fun experience. Our beautiful lakeside accommodation offers everything you need to enjoy a luxurious stay with family or friends. We also recognise the importance that pets play in so many people’s lives and therefore we welcome up to three dogs with any booking (there is a £15 per dog charge for this.)
Tie the Knot in Grand Style
As well as the house, we have a separate Celebration Barn with plans for this space to become fully licensed to host wedding ceremonies in 2024. You can find out more about this in our ‘weddings & celebrations’ section.

This place is unbelievable!!! We spent a weekend at Blackton Grange for a retreat for our choir (Ryton Singers) the standard is of the highest quality from the hot tub, cinema room, games room to the ultimately comfortable bedrooms and all the small finishing touches in all of the rooms. We will absolutely be returning and counting down the days until we do. Beautiful location. Fantastic hosts.

we had a lovely stay here for a family get-together. The property is beautifully decorated and it is a great space for big groups to be together, from the large dining table to all the comfy seats in the living room (and plenty space for some time apart too!). We particularly enjoyed going for walks in the gorgeous scenery, playing pool and looking at all the stars at night.
